It depends on the price tier and the customer segment. Metal constructions, particularly zinc alloy, deliver the perceived quality and thread durability that longevity-positioned programs need. Engineering plastic is lighter, more comfortable over extended use, and considerably less expensive, which suits high-volume and ergonomic lines. Hybrid constructions — plastic body with metal collar and inserts — combine thread durability with light weight and often serve national assortments best.
More patterns is not automatically better. Multi-pattern heads from 6 to 10 settings suit general retail where one nozzle covers many tasks, while 3-way and single-adjustment nozzles are simpler, cheaper and have fewer failure points, which matters for value tiers and promotional programs. Pattern count also affects tooling complexity and unit cost, so it is worth settling early rather than adding settings late in development.
Yes. Thread standard and coupling compatibility are specified per program so that nozzles, hoses and accessories in the same assortment connect reliably. Where you are adding nozzles to an existing hose line from another supplier, send a physical sample of the hose coupling and we will match the thread specification rather than assume it.
