Yes. Our standard MOQ is 3,000 units per SKU, and flexible terms from 1,000–2,000 units are available for trial orders. Smaller runs work best on existing tooling, where your brand is expressed through material, color, specification, print and packaging rather than a new mold. If your program requires dedicated tooling, the mold cost applies regardless of run size, so the per-unit burden on a small first order is higher. We will tell you which route fits your product at the quotation stage.
Send a physical sample plus whatever specification you hold — drawings, material callouts, packaging artwork, and the current pressure or dimensional requirements. We build to sample where drawings are incomplete, which is common when a program moves between suppliers. The main variable is tooling ownership at your incumbent supplier: if the molds are not yours, new tooling is required, and that changes both cost and timeline. Confirm this early, because it is the single biggest scheduling factor in a re-source.
Include product category, a reference sample or drawing, target specification (material, size or length, pressure requirement, connector standard), first-order quantity, estimated annual volume, destination market and channel, packaging requirements, any compliance requirements, and your required in-store date. The three that most affect quote accuracy are specification, first-order quantity and required date. If you hold only some of these, send what you have — a first-round conversation surfaces the rest faster than an internal spec exercise.
Exclusivity is a commercial arrangement rather than a technical one, and we discuss it per program. Products built on dedicated tooling for your specification are inherently differentiated. Products built on existing tooling and customized through material, color, print and packaging may share an underlying platform with other programs unless exclusivity is separately agreed. We would rather set this expectation in writing at quotation than have it surface after launch.
Samples are free. The buyer covers DHL freight on a collect basis, and shipments typically reach US addresses within 3–5 business days once the sample specification is confirmed. Samples pulled from existing tooling move fastest. Samples requiring modification, new colors or new tooling take longer, and we confirm that timeline in writing at quotation rather than after you have committed. We would rather quote a realistic date than an optimistic one.
US spring garden programs are generally booked through the preceding autumn and winter, which means the same order placed in October and in February will not receive the same production window. Asian production schedules also compress ahead of Lunar New Year, and buyers who have imported from the region before plan around it. If you are targeting a spring in-store date, starting the sample conversation in the preceding autumn leaves room for the parts of a program that always take longer than planned.
We respond to RFQ inquiries within 2 business days, with either a quotation or the specific questions needed to produce one. If a request needs input from the production or engineering side, you receive an acknowledgment with a date rather than silence. Response speed during evaluation is a reasonable predictor of response speed during a problem, which is why we treat it as a commitment rather than an aspiration.
We operate two facilities: Changhua County, Taiwan, and Zhangzhou, Fujian, China. Combined monthly capacity is 200,000+ nozzles and 300,000+ garden hoses, with over 200 production staff. The build location for a given program is decided by specification, volume and the buyer's origin requirements rather than by a fixed rule. Our factory has been shipping garden watering products to US retailers since 2006.
Inspection covers dimensional checks, pressure and leak testing appropriate to the product, finish and assembly inspection, and packaging verification. Production records are retained so that a specific batch can be traced back to its material inputs, which is what makes a quality or compliance file usable months later. Third-party inspection can be arranged at the buyer's request, and for a first program with a new supplier it is generally a sound investment.
Yes. Color, hose length and diameter, pressure specification, connector standard, spray pattern set, print and packaging are all specified per program rather than pulled from a fixed catalog. Changes at this level usually do not require new tooling, which is why they are the most cost-effective way to differentiate a first program. Structural changes to the product geometry require tooling, and we identify that distinction clearly at quotation.
FLORIAX and H2O Works products are available on Amazon in the United States. FLORIAX focuses on garden hoses and watering solutions, while H2O Works covers nozzles and sprinklers. Both are in-house brands of Dong Universe International, manufactured at our own facilities in Taiwan and China rather than sourced from third parties — which is why product feedback reaches the people who make the tooling decisions.
Drain the hose fully, disconnect the nozzle, drain it as well, and store both indoors or somewhere protected from hard freezes. Water trapped inside a nozzle expands as it freezes and finds the weakest point, which is the leading cause of failure in cold-climate regions regardless of whether the nozzle is brass, zinc or plastic. Coiling the hose loosely rather than tightly also reduces the memory kinks that shorten its usable life.
